20th & 21st May 2023   What a fantastic weekend for Colchester at the National Finals in Stoke on Trent. Lily and Hollie represented the East Team in the National Grade 4 competition and came away with an amazing Bronze medal. Holly represented the East Team in the National Grade 3 competition, with that team finishing in 5th position. Lastly, in the National Grade 2 competition, Serenity was crowned overall national champion! The East Team finished in 5th position.    Congratulations to all gymnasts and coaches who took part. This level of competition takes a lot of hard work, determination and commitment and we are so proud of you all!

14th May 2023 Well done to all who competed at the Regional NDP Grade Finals! We are so proud of you all! What a a great day for Colchester!

16th April 2023 Congratulations to all our Grade 6 & 5 Gymnasts who competed. In the Grade 6 age 8 competition, Priseïs finished 6th, Emilie 7th and Sienna 9th overall. In the age 9/10 category, Imogen was crowned overall champion and Elsa finished in 3rd Place overall. In the Grade 5 age 9 competition, Oceana was crowned overall champion. Cheya finished in 3rd, Abigail 4th and Emmy 7th. Well done to all gymnasts and coaches who took part. Special thank you to our judges and to everyone who helped the day run smoothly. Another great day for CSG!

2nd April 2023 Amazing Results from these young ladies at their National Grades Competition.  In the National 4 category Hollie Field was crowned Regional Champion! Lily Spencer 2nd, and Toni-Jai Chandler 6th despite an unfortunate fall on beam. In the National 3 category Holly Bowring was crowned Regional Champion! And finally, in the National 2 category, Serenity Hayward was also crowned Regional Champion! Megan Andrews finished in 3rd.   This means all of the girls have qualified for National Finals in May, with Toni-Jai as a reserve. On 23rd & 24th March 3 members of our MAG squad travelled up to Liverpool to compete at the British Championships. On Thursday, Corey competed in the under 16 category and finished an amazing 13th all round! Then on Friday Fintan and Jed competed in the under 14 category with Fintan finishing 27th and Jed 11th! Jed also placed 5th on Floor & High Bar and 7th on Rings.   The boys and coach Taurean had a very successful competition against the best the country has to offer. Well done! Also, a big well done and thank you to our Centre Manager Andrea who judged all 4 days of competition.

Earlier this year, our gymnast Jed decided to embrace his Welsh heritage and trial for the Welsh National team, we are delighted to announce that he has gained a space in the MAG Welsh Development Squad. Following on from this trial, Jed competed at the Welsh Championships in Cardiff. After a fantastic performance, Jed finished 3rd all around, and gained apparatus medals on Pommel, Rings, Vault and High Bar! Jed placed 3rd on Vault. 2nd on Pommel, Rings and High Bar.  Congratulations Jed and Coach Taurean! This is an amazing achievement and we are so proud of you.

11th March 2023 – Our WAG Squad took part in an in house grades competition in preparation for their upcoming grades competition. WELL DONE!

Huge Congratulations to our 9 gymnasts that competed at the English Championships last weekend. You’ve done yourselves, your coaches and your club proud. Lots of experience gained and targets hit. An extra big thank you to Andrea Cook who judged all 3 days and to everyone who came to support!
