Colchester School of Gymnastics is committed to ensuring that those working with children and vulnerable adults adopt best practice to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the participants, coaches and officials. Our coaches are trained under the British Gymnastics coaching award scheme. This also means that they are required to be insured, DBS checked and have completed a safeguarding course. We also have 8 staff members who have completed level 3 in first aid training and 6 of these are also level 3 paediatric first aid trained. These members of staff are also qualified to use our on site AED. We also have around 20 members of staff who have completed the Emergency First Response course.
Any concerns about child welfare should be reported directly to one of our Welfare Officers and they can be contacted confidentially on either 07743 874832 for Sam Copping or 07909 984621 for Tracy Felton.
