Birmingham Club Grade

National Final

Colchester gymnast Charlotte Volf, was part of the Eastern Region Team for the Club Grade National Finals in Birmingham. .

The competition was held at 4 levels and spread out over 2 days.

Charlotte's grade 3 group competed on the Sunday and started the day under pressure as both Eastern Teams in Grades 4 and 2 had won their grades on the Saturday.

All 4 girls competed well with consistant scores. After the second round the team were in second place, just 0.4 marks behind the leaders. All they could then do is sit and wait while everyone else finished their rounds. When the girls marched on for the presentation they were still unaware of their final position.

Well done to Charlotte and the team who held on to their position and came home with Silver medals!!!!

Maisie Corton was in The Regional round of

Compulsory Grade 4 on Sunday morning.

She cane third "Bronze medal" and now represents the

Region at the National finals in Birmingham on the weekend of the

3 & 4 May 2008.

She joins Charlotte Volf who is competing for the

Region the previous weekend in club grade 3 final also in Birmingham.
